SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed regarding the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to website reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service issue established for intervention activities a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
